DJ K-OZ began her career in djing while attending Virginia State University. She was a Mass Communications Major as well as an impressive radio jock for the school's radio station, 91.3 WVST. During her junior year, she started off doing house parties and then moved on to campus events. Eventually, she rain into DJ Ampro (the city's best known DJ), with whom she built a business relationship with. Soon after, DJ K-OZ began to DJ at local events in the Richmond, VA area. Due to the expansion of clientele, DJ K-OZ has worked in the states of VA, NJ, MD, DC and has also worked in AL. Through out the years, she has performed at numerous clubs, birthday parties, retirement parties, fashion shows, weddings/receptions, private parties and more.
Born -N- Raised in N.Y.C. Grew up in Da Bronx, Edenwald Projects. Been doin dis music thing since I can remember. Started as a rapper who could dj and grew to be a dj who can rock a party. Did a lil radio in N.Y.C. Did park Jamz (for all ya old heads who remember the Jams out in da parks) did a few clubs in N.Y.C. (The Tunnel, The Funhouse, Latin Quarters, Red Parrot, etc etc etc). Moved to da D.C. Metro area and have been "ROCKIN" parties, clubs, cabarets, & Go-Go's ever since. I'm a PARTY DJ!!! Spinnin Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Go-Go, House, Old Skool Funk, Old Skool Hip Hop, Hand dance, Line Dance, Smooth Jazz, Oldies but Goodies (Da music ya Momz & Grannies Grooved to). My Notch is in my roots though...Str8 Hip Hop & Reggae. Boogie Down Bronx raised me and Music is my lifeline. Hip Hop till I die, I was there when it all started. Born and raised in Montgomery Alabama, DJ Me'Lizz always had a strong love for music, technology, and sports. After graduating from Grambling State University on a basketball scholarship, she moved to the DMV area to start her career in the computer field. Over the years her love and thirst for music never died, but she was still searching for her niche. With her career goals accomplished and extra time, dj'ing became a hobby and now her obsession this past year. "Sky Iz The Limit" is her motto she lives by. Within a few months of starting her hobby, she began working for a mobile dj production company. She has assisted and dj'ed at sweet sixteens, high school fundraisers, birthday parties, block parties, middle school dances, and lounges. You can catch DJ Me'lizz spinning everything from Hip Hop & R&B, Top 40, to Pop, Dirty South, and Experimental. She is a determined upcoming female dj with a "go getter" attitude. DJ Mixmaster Sheldon is a veteran DJ of numerous events in DC, MD and VA as well as NC and SC. From clubs to weddings, to corporate parties and Bar Mitzvahs, you name it, he’s done it.
I’ve been a mobile DJ for four years, providing entertainment for private house parties, family cookouts, and Birthday Parties. My genre of music is Funk/Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Top 40, Alternative, Pop, Neo Soul, Baltimore Club, GO-GO.
My mission is to make sure you and your guest are completely satisfied. My goal is to make sure everyone gets involved and has a great time. I am very outgoing by nature, but I am a very flexible person and can adapt to any crowd. I take pride in what I do. I receive such joy when I get a great response from the guest. I know how important your special event is and I know that it’s my job to make sure everyone has a great time. I started DJing in my basement; it was my stress re-leaver from a hard days work. One day I came home and told my wife that either I was getting a motorcycle or DJ equipment. Of course she was against the motorcycle so I settled for the DJ equipment. I did my research to find out what was the best equipment out there. I purchased my equipment and taught myself everything about mixing music. I’ve always told my three children nothing beats a failure but not to try, so I had to live by my own words and try. It was something I always had in my heart to do. I was mostly inspired by DJ Kid Capri, DJ Kool, and DJ Jam Master Jay. I love the way they would mix the music.
